Proudly Supporting our Youth during Homelessness Week - Sleep in your Car
Join us in support of our youth on the Mornington Peninsula, during Homelessness Week.
As you know there are a number of people living on the Mornington Peninsula who are experiencing hardship, and this number has increased due to the impact of COVID 19.
We have experienced receiving many applications for rental properties, and with a shortage of homes for sale, financial support having been stopped by the Government, many people are finding themselves in a situation that they would never have thought possible.
We understand that we are all doing our bit to support each other, to buy local and support business to help our own Mornington Peninsula economy.
Homelessness week is an annual week to raise awareness of people experiencing homelessness, the issues they face, and the action needed to achieve enduring solutions.
This year, Homelessness week will occur from 4 to 10 August 2021.
Fusion Mornington Peninsula are hosting Sleep in your Car on Saturday 7 August 2021 from 5.30pm to 10.00pm at Mornington Park.
Come have a meal, enjoy live music, learn from local service providers, and experience 'The Walk Without Home' experiential learning program developed by the Fusion Mornington Peninsula team. There is truly something for everyone. So come and find out how you can help – ‘It takes a Village’.
Everything you raise contributes to the crucial funding required to support and prevent local young people experiencing homelessness through the work of Fusion Mornington Peninsula.
